THE LINEAGE OF CARLA ANDREA DE GRANDI

Carla first studied as a Reiki Teacher in a modern form of Reiki, where modern techniques were merged with traditional techniques. It was this initial taste of Reiki that inspired her to look further into the system’s roots and to retain Japanese lineages. She was trying not only to find out about the evolution of Reiki, but to develop her personal practice.

Below is the Japanese lineage in which Carla A De Grandi has been trained, one of many but the only one she practices, and embraces daily. She sees the Japanese lineage Usui Reiki Ryoho as a spiritual path – a journey that takes practitioners far beyond simple hands-on healing.

UNDERSTANDING THE USUI REIKI RYOHO LINEAGE

The Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage as taught by Soul Healing Practice aims to reflect the practices that were taught by Usui Mikao during his lifetime. The more research that is completed into this area, the more the teachings develop – it is an ongoing study. There are two areas in which Soul Healing Practice continues this study.

One is in practical manual research where books are read, and ideas are pieced together. This also includes studying with different teachers who offer their own insights into aspects of Traditional Japanese Reiki practice.

The second area of study is in personal practice. One cannot understand an energetic practice without personal development. Without a direct experience of an energetic system only a rational, and therefore limited, understanding is gained. The founder of Soul Healing Practice commits to practising the system, not just teaching it.

The combination of these 2 areas creates the Usui Reiki Ryoho lineage as taught by Soul Healing Practice. It is the entire teachings that are being handed down – energetic and practical.

These reflect the Oneness that is achieved by connecting mind (experiential) and body (practical) – both must be utilised to gain a complete understanding of the teachings.
